My Mission as a Psychologist

My name is Lara, I am a licensed psychologist and mental health counselor with a specialty in CBT (for more information about me please check out the “about” section). The reason for becoming a therapist is to help, understand, and make a difference in people’s lifes. My mission is to help explore a simpler, happier life through personalized counseling sessions tailored to you.

Whether you have work stress, depression, anxiety, or just want to find yourself. Here, in a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental space, together we will unravel life´s complexities, fostering understanding and resilience. Your first step of the journey is done by being ready and open to the idea of therapy. Contact me when you are ready. Schedule your first 20 min now for free.

When to consider therapy and to seek counseling.

Therapy welcomes every individual with open arms to a safe space, free of judgment, regardless of age. Counseling is not just for tackling major issues or life events; even the simple act of considering therapy suggests there is something worth discussing. No problem is too small or insignificant. Seeking help is a brave step towards improving your mental health until you acquire all the necessary coping skills and tools to where therapy is no longer necessary.

Signs to consider seeking therapy:
- frequent changes in your mood
- anxiety (fears, obsession...)
- stress
-depression (incl. sadness, negativity, and low self-esteem)
-self-destructive behavior (smoking, drinking, self-harm, etc.)
-relationship issues (family, friends, romantic)
- you feel like no one understands or listens to you
- change in eating habits

What is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of talking therapy that can help alleviate your difficulties and problems. CBT is based on your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and actions, by changing negative patterns to positive patterns.

Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems rather than always focusing on your past.

  • Great for short- and long-term clients, as goals are tailored to your needs.
  • CBT has been shown to be effective in a wide range of psychological disorders from panic disorders, phobias, to PTSD, OCD, sleep problems, or addiction.
  • Long-term health conditions (irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, or chronic pain) have been found effective with CBT as it helps reduce stress, anxiety, and you make a plan with your therapist for daily life and pain management.
